ZEISS VisuMax 500
Proven femtosecond laser platform for flapless SMILE vision correction — precise lenticule extraction, minimal dry eye risk, and next-day recovery.
Overview
How it works
100% flapless and minimally invasive — eliminates all flap-related risks 2–4 mm keyhole incision — smallest of any refractive laser procedure Minimal to no dry eye risk compared to conventional LASIK Next-day visual recovery for most patients CE-marked and clinically proven across millions of SMILE procedures globally Better corneal biomechanical stability preserved versus LASIK flap techniques
Key benefits
- 100% flapless and minimally invasive — eliminates all flap-related complications
- 2–4 mm keyhole incision — smallest of any refractive laser procedure
- Minimal to no dry eye risk compared to LASIK flap techniques
- Next-day visual recovery for the majority of patients
- CE-marked and clinically validated across millions of SMILE procedures globally
- Better corneal biomechanical stability preserved versus LASIK
What we use it for
- Flapless glasses removal via SMILE procedure — The VisuMax 500 uses femtosecond laser pulses to create a precise lenticule inside the cornea, which is then removed through a 2–4 mm keyhole incision — no flap, no blade, no dry-eye risk.
- Myopia (short-sightedness) correction up to -10D — Corrects myopia up to -10D by reshaping the internal corneal architecture without touching the corneal surface, preserving biomechanical strength.
- Astigmatism correction with femtosecond precision — Femtosecond-guided lenticule extraction precisely corrects cylindrical refractive errors alongside myopia in a single uninterrupted treatment.
