Femto LASIK

Relying on glasses or contact lenses for every activity driving, reading, travelling, sport limits daily life for millions of people. Older LASIK techniques required a mechanical blade to create the corneal flap, a step that some patients found worrying and that carried a greater risk of inconsistency.

Femto LASIK uses two complementary lasers: the femtosecond laser creates a precisely uniform corneal flap without any blade, and the excimer laser then reshapes the underlying cornea to permanently correct the prescription covering myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism in a single session. Most patients see clearly by the following morning.
